Summary

GIF & Image Grabber collects no data at all. No analytics, no user identifiers, no servers of ours receiving anything. The extension contains no network calls: everything it does happens inside your browser.

What the extension does with your data

• Image and video addresses. To list what a page loads, the extension observes the network responses of the active tab and reads the DOM when you press Scan. Those addresses are kept in your browser's session memory, tied to that tab, and are wiped when you navigate elsewhere or close Chrome. They are never sent anywhere.
• Preferences. Your preferred view, sort order and filter are stored locally.
• Pro key. If you buy Pro, the key is stored locally and verified cryptographically on your own machine. Activation makes no connection whatsoever.
• Cookies. Never read, never written, never transmitted. The extension does not request the cookies permission.
• Page content. No text, forms, passwords or any other content is read, stored or analysed.

Downloads

When you hit download, your browser requests the file directly from the server hosting it, exactly as if you had right-clicked and chosen "Save image as". That server sees the request, as it would in any normal browsing. We neither sit in the middle nor log anything.

Buying Pro

Payment is handled by Stripe, which processes your payment data under its own privacy policy. This site only asks Stripe whether a given purchase was paid, in order to generate your key, and stores nothing: there is no database. The extension itself never takes part in the payment.

Third parties

No data is shared, sold or transferred to third parties, not least because there is no data to share.

Changes

If a future version ever needed to collect something, it would be announced here and on the store listing before release, and it would require your explicit consent.
