Most downloaders only read the HTML. This one watches the network, like the Network tab in developer tools, so it also finds the GIFs that CDNs serve without .gif in the URL.

A normal downloader walks the page's <img> tags and stops there. This extension listens to the headers of every network response and classifies by Content-Type, so it sees GIFs served without an extension, files already in cache, CSS background images, and anything that only appears as you scroll.

Hover an item and the GIF plays at full size, with its complete URL and file size. No opening tabs to check which one it was.
List to pinpoint one file among hundreds, grid to recognise them at a glance.
Tracking pixels, spacers and tiny icons hide themselves. A note tells you how many there are and brings them back if you want them.
Select what you want and it lands in a folder named after the domain. Or grab a single one with a double click.
Many of today's "GIFs" are MP4 or WebM. They show up under their own filter instead of vanishing.
The interface follows your browser language.

No analytics, no identifiers, no accounts: the extension sends nothing to any server of ours. Check it yourself: unzip it and you will find no fetch and no XMLHttpRequest anywhere in its code. To show you thumbnails and download what you pick, your browser requests each file from the same server the page was already loading it from. What it finds on each tab lives in your browser's session memory and is wiped when you close it. Cookies are never read.
Buying Pro does not break that either: the key is verified with elliptic-curve cryptography on your own machine. Activating it makes no connection at all. That is why the price is a one-off and not a subscription — there is nothing to keep running.
Unlimited downloads. One-off payment, no subscription and no account. One key works on all your devices.

On any normal page. It cannot run on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store itself or the PDF viewer, because Chrome blocks extensions there.
Those are almost never GIFs: they are MP4 or WebM videos. The extension detects them and lists them under the Video filter.
No, and that is not its purpose. It is a tool for images and GIFs on web pages.
